The RT Honourable Sir John Wheeler J.P. DL
Sir John is the joint author of “British and Colonial and Commonwealth Coins”, a book which was published in 1986 and has over 40 years experience of coin collecting. Sir John formed a world-class collection of East India Company and British India coins, which was sold at auction by AH Baldwin & Sons Ltd in 2000. He is a member of The British Numismatics Society. From 1993 until 1997, Sir John was the Deputy Secretary of State for the Northern Ireland Office, responsible as Finance Minister and Minister of State for Security and the Criminal Justice System. He has also been a Member of Parliament for the City of Westminster from 1979 until 1997. From 1987 until 1992, Sir John was the Chairman of the Home Affairs Select Committee. Since 1999, he has been a director of St. Johns Ambulance and from 1999 until 2002 he was a director of MWB Business Exchange Europe Limited.
David Pinckney
David Pinckney was Vice Chairman of AXA Investment Managers S.A. until 31 December 2003, having particular responsibilities for the Far East and the group's compliance, risk management and audit functions. Until April 2010, he was non-executive Chairman of Syndicate Asset Management plc the AIM quoted fund management company with approximately £6.0 billion under management. In 2002, he was appointed non-executive Chairman of Park Row Group Plc, and AIM quoted group of IFA's which was successfully sold to Royal Liver in 2003. From 1963 to 1968, he worked at Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co (now KPMG) in London, and then in France until 1983, when in this last six years he was the senior audit partner for France and French speaking Africa. From 1987 to 1997, he was group finance director and joint managing director of the Thornton Group, an international fund management group based principally in Hong Kong and London. He graduated from Oxford University in 1963 with an honours degree, majoring in Philosophy, Politics and Economics. He is a chartered accountant and an "Expert Comptable" (French Accountant).
